Thread Lifts
A non-surgical alternative to the facelift — lift, recontour, and rejuvenate with advanced PDO threads.
Overview
Thread Lifts
Thread lifts are a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that uses absorbable PDO (polydioxanone) threads to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck. The threads are inserted under the skin, where they mechanically lift the tissue and stimulate collagen production over time.
Unlike surgical facelifts, thread lifts require no general anaesthesia, leave no visible scars, and have minimal downtime. Results develop gradually and continue to improve as collagen production is stimulated.
Dr Lindsay Moran uses barbed lifting threads for the face, cheeks, mid-face, jawline, brows, and neck. She will discuss your suitability and expectations during a complimentary consultation before booking the procedure.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a good candidate for a thread lift?
Thread lifts work best for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who wish to avoid surgery. A complimentary consultation with Dr Moran will help determine whether you are a suitable candidate.
Is the procedure painful?
Local anaesthesia is used to numb the treatment areas. You may feel pressure and mild discomfort during the procedure, but it is generally well-tolerated.
How long do results last?
Results from thread lifts typically last 12–18 months, with some patients maintaining results for up to 2 years. Longevity depends on the patient's age, skin laxity, and lifestyle factors.
What is the recovery like?
Most patients experience swelling, bruising, and mild tenderness for 1–2 weeks after treatment. You may notice some puckering or dimpling of the skin initially, which resolves as swelling subsides. Strenuous activity should be avoided for 1–2 weeks.
